About me

Olina Olseth (b. 2002, Bergen, Norway) is a multidisciplinary creative based in Paris since 2022.

She is currently pursuing a BFA in Art, Media & Technology at The New School Parsons Paris.

Working across film, photography, graphic design, printmaking, and 3D procedural media, her practice examines the intersections of nature, technology, and urban environments. Exploring the tension between serenity and artificiality, she examines how contemporary life reshapes our connection to the natural world. Through research of the body and gendered expression, her work considers how identity and representation unfold within both organic and constructed spaces.

Her work has been exhibited at France Nature Environnement (FNE) at Oasis 21 in Paris in 2024, an exhibition organized as a fundraiser supporting ocean conservation. Olina also contributed to the design of mediation tools for PRIMA, an architectural park in Leulinghen-Bernes, which are currently in use on-site. Additionally, she worked as the Art, Media, and Technology Program Assistant at Parsons Paris, where she launched and managed the school’s Instagram and YouTube channels, and assisted with exhibitions at Parsons’ art gallery, Galerie 45.

Currently, Olina is developing her thesis on her Sámi heritage from Northern Norway, exploring the symbolism and philosophy of Duodji (Sámi craftsmanship). She is creating a tapestry that weaves together ancestral traditions with her study of local astrology, sunlight, and the natural rhythms of the northern landscape.
